Softether VPN

VPN or Virtual Private Networks are leading technology in networking for purposes from connecting to office PC in home to connecting two or more WANs for secure communication. Softether is a powerfull open source vpn supported for Windows, Mac, Linux, open BSD and Solaris platforms. It is an alternative to Open VPN which is easy to configure and use.We can identify three main tools combined with this VPN software. VPN server, VPN client and server client management tool. VPN server can be configure in using vpn server manager tool. This GUI tool is available only for windows else you have to configure VPN server using vpn_server.config. This is little tough thing to do.

  • DDNS service - we can assign a ddns name inorder to connect to our server remotely. Even if we are not using Softether VPN we can use it for DDNS service to connect remotely.



  • NATing - Provide Virtual natting with dhcp for connecting clints.



  • LT2P/IPSec is supported.
